Welcome to the forecast! All times are Pacific Standard time, which is now the same time as Tucson. Daylight savings has begun!
All the aspects patterns delineated below are in within orb (influence) as the week begins. And this is a big week for communications. Mercury is a big player this week, so all the Mutable Signs–that’s Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo–you especially will be busier than usual, and because of this, you will want to ground yourself to better avoid mishaps, wastes of time and to better maximize your use of this super-intuitive energy! More below. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo; and these signs square/oppose the other 2 mutable signs, Sagittarius and Pisces. And those 2 signs are occupied by their ruling planets, Jupiter and Neptune respectfully, making them more potent. Especially pay attention Tuesday through Thursday when the quick moving moon is in Gemini.
This week is excellent for communicating to yourself and others emotions, feelings, healing–but with so many connections to make, we can easily get pulled all sorts of directions, not all in our best interests, so use checklists to stay on track if you find yourself going down a few too many rabbit holes. Psychic and intuitive abilities are stronger than usual. All forms of spiritual practice are well supported; not so great for communicating anything detail-oriented or logical or business–Mercury is retrograde through March 28th. But because Mercury is in Pisces, the thinking/communicating function of the planet is infused with Pisces qualities: healing, music, dance, all creative arts, poetry, myths, ballads, metaphors. Mercury makes an unusual number of quick, easy angles this week to other planets, increasing the amount of surprising ideas, dreams, messages, phone calls you will have; much of this will do with the past, people from the past, past lives because Mercury is moving backwards (past) in the sign of past lives/karma (Pisces). Wednesday March 14th at 6:48pm Mercury conjoins the Sun, symbol of free will–we will be feeling free to talk more, dream more, feel better about our past and whatever in our past is coming up for us; the Sun in Pisces makes it easy to let ourselves express a softer side of ourselves, and Mercury brings it to our awareness and let’s us have acceptance. Compassion for self and others is a good intention on this day. Additionally, I would binge-watch romantic comedies, fantasy or dance. Thursday March 15th at 4:17pm Mercury squares Jupiter, in larger-than-life Sagittarius; when the function of talk, thinking, driving, travel is challenged by the planet of expansion and growth, it can make it very easy to overdo it. Slow down. Avoid accidents. This looks to be a busy travel day due to unexpected challenges; pack an extra magazine, or the digital equivalent. Not a great week overall to overdo drinking, drugs or stimulants due an increased risk of adverse incidents. Sunday March 17th Mercury makes an easy, but brief, aspect to Mars, action planet, at 8:23pm. Mars is in Taurus, so the activity may be more low-key–great energy for being out in nature hiking, short trips to rural areas or the country (Taurus) and feeling a bit more confident, because Mars helps us get in touch with our courage. One important thing to keep in mind about Mercury in Pisces is that it can really bring up fears based on the past, and that is when it’s in normal direct motion! Retrograde it’s just worse. Mars gives you an opportunity on this day, and the day before, to confront some of these negative, fearful thoughts/behaviors and feel okay about it.
There is ample stabilizing energy this week to support us making all kinds of healing connections. The Sun makes an easy angle to Pluto in Capricorn on March 13 at 7:25am; Pluto likes to clear things out, and the Sun in Pisces is all feelings, so if you have to clear out some emotions this is an excellent day. You are likely clearly out stuff from the past that is dragging you down. If the Sun were in an action sign making this angle, it would be more about physical exertion in purging something, but in a watery, emotional sign, it’s more about purging feeling. Pisces is 2 fish swimming in different directions. Pisces does not know if it’s coming or going, so that’s why emotional/creative/feeling/healing clearing out is probably more likely. Use this day (48 hours either side of it) for any ritual related to personal empowerment related to clearing out toxic emotions and personal beliefs. Mars (in Taurus) and Saturn (in Capricorn) are both in earth signs, and they form a strong, easy angle to each other Wednesday March 14 at 3:01am. This week is good for getting work done; hard work, work that requires attention to detail. However, keep in mind that Mars is in Taurus and Taurus is very stubborn, so watch you do not find yourself getting stuck or lazy, another penchant of the Bull. This is conservative, practical energy; both signs are about the satus quo. But it’s nice to have the status quo as a foundation when the odds for magical, inexplicable and psychic phenomena are more likely!
Forecast for the Zodiac Signs (for more info on Sun Sign dates click here)
If your Sun, Moon or Rising Sign is a Fixed sign (Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo, Taurus): in the last week you might have noticed something surprising, unexpected in your life. Uranus just changed signs in to Taurus. Taurus people will find themselves changing values, feeling more insecure, wanting freedom, and internally developing more detachment. Scorpio people will see the same, but in their relationships with others. Aquarius and Leo will experience challenges in these areas as well, though these challenges are meant to be corrective and to help you determine if you can stick with your current course of action despite upsets or need to shake things up for positive change.
If your Sun, Moon or Rising Sign is a Cardinal sign (Libra, Cancer, Capricorn or Aries) then things have slowed down a bit for you all. For the last 7 years, all the Cardinal signs were getting poked and pushed to initiate and start things–this because Uranus was in Aries, most aggressive of the zodiac signs and influencing all the other Cardinal Signs. Of all the things to start and initiate, starting relationships of all sorts is a thing for the Cardinal Signs, and many of you with strong Cardinal influences in your chart have had some sudden endings–or the acceptance/realization of endings– in your relationships as Uranus in Aries blazed out of that sign, blazing down any obstacles to your freedom. Use the Pluto/Sun aspect pattern described above to clear out emotions related to relationships.
If your Sun, Sun, Moon or Rising Sign is a Mutable Sign (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius) then the information at the top of the forecast applies to you: this week is busier than usual for you. Really stay focused and grounded as you travel; this isn’t volatile energy, but it is spacey and thus careless energy at times. Jupiter, the largest planet, is in Sagittarius making all the Mutable signs vulnerable to getting carried away. Especially Gemini, which is the sign opposite Sagittarius; I’ve seen a few of you with broken bones. This week is excellent for all of you to connect some serious dots in your personal, emotional life. Whatever comes up for you from the past, you will have good chances to better understand and learn more about about when Mercury turns direct and eventually catches up with the Sun in mid-May.
